Staffing Rating
Belle View Estates Rehabilitation and Care Center holds an overall 5-star rating from CMS, which is the highest possible score and puts this facility well above average nationally. That overall rating is a composite that pulls together three separate scores, so it reflects the full picture of how the facility performs across inspections, staffing, and resident health outcomes. On the individual pieces, the facility earned 5 stars for both Health Inspections and Quality Measures, which are genuinely strong results. The Health Inspection score means state inspectors found very few, if any, serious citations during their visits, which is a good sign that the facility is being run safely and that problems are caught and addressed. The Quality Measures score reflects how residents are actually doing physically and clinically, looking at things like falls, pressure wounds, and mobility, and a 5 here means outcomes are much better than average. The one area to be aware of is Staffing, which came in at 3 stars, or average. This means the number of nursing hours per resident is in line with typical facilities, not exceptional. For families, that is worth a conversation with the facility directly, asking about nurse-to-resident ratios on specific shifts, particularly evenings and weekends. Overall though, the combination of top scores in inspections and resident outcomes is a strong indicator that Belle View Estates is delivering a high level of care.

Questions to ask when visiting
1. How many residents does each certified nursing assistant care for during the day shift and the night shift, and has that number changed in the last year? 2. How often do residents see the same aides and nurses week to week, and what is your current staff turnover rate? 3. Can you walk me through exactly what happens if a resident falls or has a medical emergency in the middle of the night? 4. How do you handle a resident who refuses a meal, misses activities for several days in a row, or seems more withdrawn than usual? 5. What does a typical Tuesday look like for a resident who is mobile versus one who is mostly in their room? 6. If I have a concern about my loved one's care, who do I call, how quickly will someone get back to me, and what happens if I feel the issue was not resolved? About CMS Star Ratings

CMS assigns 1–5 star ratings to Medicare and Medicaid-certified nursing homes based on three domains: health inspections, staffing levels, and quality measures. The overall rating is a weighted composite.

A 5-star overall rating does not guarantee excellence in every domain — inspect each sub-rating independently. Data is updated quarterly.
