Staffing Rating
Resort Nursing Home holds an overall 4-star rating from CMS, which means it performs above average compared to nursing homes nationally. That overall score is built from three components, two of which are available here. The health inspection rating, also 4 stars, reflects that state inspectors found fewer or less serious problems at this facility than at most nursing homes. That is a meaningful signal for families, since inspections look at real, on-the-ground conditions including care practices, safety, and resident rights. The staffing rating is also 4 stars, which tells you that nurses and aides are spending more time with residents than the national average. More staff time generally means faster response to needs, more attentive care, and less chance that a resident feels overlooked. The one gap worth noting is that Quality Measures data is not available for Resort Nursing Home. This category normally covers 15 clinical outcomes like fall rates, pressure ulcers, and how well pain is being managed, so without it, the overall picture is incomplete. It does not mean something is wrong, but families should ask the facility directly about how residents are faring on those kinds of health outcomes. The two ratings that are available point to a facility that is doing better than average, and that is a solid starting point for a conversation with the admissions team.

Questions to ask when visiting
1. How many residents does each certified nursing assistant care for during the day shift, and how does that number change at night and on weekends? 2. What is your staff turnover rate over the past year, and how long have most of your current CNAs and nurses been working here? 3. If my loved one falls or has a medical emergency during the night, walk me through exactly what happens from the moment it occurs to when the family is notified. 4. How do you handle a resident who refuses a meal, refuses to get out of bed, or becomes upset during personal care - what does your staff actually do in those moments? 5. Can I see the most recent state inspection report, and can you tell me how any cited deficiencies have been corrected since then? 6. What does a typical Tuesday look like for a resident who is not very mobile - from the time they wake up to the time they go to sleep? About CMS Star Ratings

CMS assigns 1–5 star ratings to Medicare and Medicaid-certified nursing homes based on three domains: health inspections, staffing levels, and quality measures. The overall rating is a weighted composite.

A 5-star overall rating does not guarantee excellence in every domain — inspect each sub-rating independently. Data is updated quarterly.
